Rome, 8 March 2024 - The Gaza Strip continues to be a place of deep suffering, where thousands of people face insurmountable challenges on a daily basis.
With limited access to basic necessities and an extremely fragile healthcare system, the
situation has become increasingly urgent.
In this context, Every Child Is My Child calls for immediate community action
humanitarian aid and ensure vital support for the population of
Gaza.
The lack of access to basic health services, food and drinking water is
having a devastating impact on people's health and well-being, particularly on the
children, who make up a significant part of the Palestinian population.
More than 12,000 children have lost their lives as a result of the conflict since 7 October (source: Save
the Children) and now they are also starting to die from diseases caused by food and water shortages
(UN source)
Every Child Is My Child calls on local, regional and international authorities to work together to
facilitating the arrival of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip and ensuring that supplies reach it,
in the shortest possible time, those who desperately need it.
We cannot turn our backs on human suffering. It is time for the international community to act
with determination and solidarity to bring relief to the people of the Gaza Strip.
WE CANNOT PASSIVELY ACCEPT THE SUFFERING OF ALL THOSE CHILDREN
EVERY CHILD IS MY CHILD... BECAUSE EVERY CHILD IS OUR CHILD
